Olivia Kimble is the only local home birth midwife that has a Master’s of Science in Midwifery. This degree confirms her expertise in normal, physiological birth in a home setting and her ability to provide a more medical, modern approach to care when necessary or desired.

Peeing when you laugh is NOT normal. Olivia wrote her master’s thesis about pelvic floor health in pregnancy and has presented nationally as an expert in midwifery-led pelvic floor evaluation. She prioritizes pelvic health prenatally to prepare for an easier birth and a faster postpartum recovery. This is a VERY important part of your body that cannot be ignored!

All 3 state-recommended newborn screenings are available, including the newborn hearing screen, the critical congenital heart disease screen, and the blood spot screen. Also available upon request is preservative-free Vitamin K and erythromycin eye ointment.

All laboratory tests are available to families in care at a deeply discounted price compared to hospital-based lab charges. All labs are drawn in-clinic by the midwife. No need to go anywhere else or pay more for this service.

For healthy moms and babies, home birth is a safe option. But birth, no matter where, carries uncertainties. Olivia works diligently prenatally and in labor to evaluate your safety and identify “pink flags” before “red flags.” Safety is always the highest priority.
